Writing Advice Received

Writing advice — everyone has some to share.

It’s not that difficult, he said. You simply start stringing words together and throw in some punctuation. I, personally, prefer the ellipsis. It makes everything sound more … like Shakespeare.

Or William Shatner, I suggested.

A fine Canadian actor, he said, thinking we were in agreement.

Write what you know, she said.  Then your soul will flow through your words and out into the Universe to touch other souls. woman writer

I’m writing a murder mystery.

Let your imagination bloom like a flower in the spring, she added quickly.

Sit your ass down and start typing, I said.

So far, so good.
